Delhi Fire Service (DFS) is the fire and rescue agency of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, responsible for firefighting, rescue operations and fire-safety clearances (Fire NOC) across the capital, and is one of the busiest fire services in the country by call volume. Direct recruitment to Fireman, Driver-cum-Pump Operator and Station Officer posts is carried out by the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) on the department’s behalf, rather than by DFS itself.

DFS recruits mainly through a written competitive examination. Posts recorded here are commonly classified as Group C.
