02How it recruits

In plain words

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education established in 1989, provides open schooling (Secondary/Senior Secondary and vocational) to out-of-school learners. It recruits its own headquarters and regional-office staff, largely on a contractual basis, through notifications on its dedicated recruitment portal.

NIOS recruits mainly through a direct interview, without a separate written exam. Posts recorded here are commonly classified as Group B/contractual.

Entry qualifications recorded: Graduate Post-graduate

Government recruitment never charges a placement fee. Apply only on the official website linked here. 4ab.in is an information directory, not a government site — see the disclaimer. If you were asked to pay for a government job offer, an interview call or a medical test, it is a scam: do not pay, and report it here.
