JEE Main notice: what students should do now
The official JEE Main website has put up a new notice. This post explains what it says and what you should do next.
It is written for parents in Dwarka and Gurugram, with a plain plan a home tutor can help you follow.
What the notice actually says
The notice was detected on the official JEE Main public notices page on 2026-11-05. Its title is: "Inviting Online Application form for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE)-2027 (Session 1)". The word "Reg." at the end is short for "regarding".
That is what we can say with certainty from the title and the official page. In plain words, the exam body is inviting students to apply online for the first session of JEE Main for the year 2027.
JEE Main is the Joint Entrance Examination (Main). Students commonly write it for engineering entrance. Session 1 means the first of the sittings held for that year's exam.
This post does not repeat dates, fees, eligibility rules or the exam pattern. The reason is simple. Those details are inside the notice itself, and the notice is the only place that should be trusted for them. If a message in a WhatsApp group quotes a date or fee, check it against the notice before you act on it.
What a student and parent should do now
An application form is a legal-style record. A small error in a name, a category or a subject can create trouble later. So do not rush the form, and do not leave it to the last day.
- Open the official public notices page. Type the address yourself or use a trusted bookmark. Do not click links sent by strangers.
- Download and read the full notice. Read it together, student and parent, from the first line to the last.
- Write down the key points on paper. Note the opening and closing of the form, the eligibility conditions, the fee, the documents needed and the exam centre rules, exactly as the notice states them.
- Check the student's documents. Compare the name, date of birth and parents' names on each document. They must match.
- Fill the form carefully, save it, and review it once more before the final submission.
- Keep a copy of the submitted form and every acknowledgement you receive.
Why write the points on paper? Because the notice is long and official language is easy to misread. A one-page note in your own words is easy to share with the student, the school and the tutor.
A simple way to split the work
Many families lose time because nobody knows who is doing what. Divide the tasks clearly.
| Task | Who should do it | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Read the full official notice | Student and parent together | Both must know the rules the student has to follow |
| Collect and check documents | Parent | Mismatched details are a parent-level fix, often involving the school |
| Fill and review the form | Student, with the parent checking | The student knows the choices; the parent catches slips |
| Make the study plan | Student and tutor | The plan decides how well the months ahead are used |
| Keep copies and acknowledgements | Parent | You may need them later |
Notice that the form and the study plan are two different jobs. Filling the form does not prepare the student. Many families stop at the form and then feel surprised when the exam gets close.
Plan preparation around Session 1
The notice tells you that Session 1 is the next step. Whatever the exact dates are, the student should now work backwards from them. Open the notice, find the exam window, and count the weeks you really have.
Then ask three plain questions.
- Which chapters are done and which are not? List them subject by subject: Physics, Chemistry and Maths.
- Which chapters are weak? A chapter is weak if the student cannot solve fresh questions from it without looking at the solution.
- How many hours can the student give each day, without cutting sleep? Be honest. A plan that needs a perfect day will break on the first busy day.
Take the school syllabus into account too. Many students are preparing for school exams and JEE together. The core chapters are common, so the NCERT textbook is the base for both. Learn the NCERT concepts first, and then move to harder practice.
Where students in Dwarka and Gurugram usually get stuck
Students here often have long school hours, travel, and other classes. A home tutor does not add to the travel. That is one practical reason families look for home tuition in a busy area.
The common pain points are these.
- Chemistry gets left for later. Students give most time to Maths and Physics. Chemistry has parts that can be learnt well with steady revision, such as periodic trends, reactions and basic concepts. Leaving it until the end is a mistake.
- Revision has no schedule. The student reads a chapter once and moves on. Without a revision day each week, the early chapters fade.
- Practice is random. The student solves whatever comes first. A better habit is to mark mistakes, find the pattern, and practise that pattern again.
- The form is treated as the whole task. After submitting, the student relaxes. The form is only the entry ticket.
How a home tutor can help
A home tutor works one-to-one, in your home, with one student. That means the plan can be built around that student's gaps and the school routine, not around a group.
A sample weekly routine a tutor might set up (adjust to your child):
- Weekdays: one short concept session, then problems on the same topic. Keep a notebook of mistakes.
- One weekday: a revision slot for earlier chapters.
- Weekend: a longer practice block, followed by the tutor going through the errors with the student.
- Every week: five minutes to review the plan and drop or add chapters.
On Great Home Tutors, you tell us the class, subject, board and locality. A person from the team calls you back to understand the student. You are told plainly whether a tutor has been verified by us or not yet. Then there is a first class, so you can see whether the fit is right before anything is fixed.
It is home tuition only. There is no coaching centre and no group batch. For Chemistry, the verified tutor listed is Aniket Bhardwaj, who teaches Chemistry in Dwarka. Our pages also list tutors for the Gurgaon sectors, so families there can ask for a match too.
A tutor cannot fill the form for the student, and cannot promise a rank, a score or a seat. What a good tutor can do is keep the student honest about the syllabus, the revision and the practice, week after week.
Mistakes to avoid after this notice
- Relying on a forwarded message instead of the official notice.
- Paying anyone who says they will "guarantee" a form or a seat. No one can guarantee that.
- Waiting for the last day to submit.
- Changing the whole study plan in panic. Adjust it; do not throw it away.
Key takeaways
- The latest official notice invites online application forms for JEE 2027, Session 1.
- Read the full notice on the official website, and take every date and rule from there only.
- Check documents early, fill the form with care, and keep copies of everything.
- The form is not the preparation. Build a weekly study and revision routine now.
- A home tutor can help with the plan and practice, but cannot promise any result.
