02How it recruits

The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC), Ranchi, established under the Jharkhand Academic Council Act 2002, conducts the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET), the state's qualifying exam for primary and upper-primary teaching posts. It is an eligibility test; actual recruitment against notified vacancies is carried out separately by the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC).

JTET recruits mainly through a written competitive examination. Posts recorded here are commonly classified as Group C.
