02How it recruits
The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission is a constitutional body that recruits for the Kashmir Administrative Service (KAS), Deputy Superintendent of Police and other Group A and B posts of the Union Territory through its Combined Competitive Examination, and separately conducts direct-recruitment exams such as for Medical Officer. JKPSC's headquarters is in Srinagar, with the commission also operating from Jammu in the winter session.
JKPSC recruits mainly through a written competitive examination, or a written examination followed by an interview. Posts recorded here are commonly classified as Group A/B.
