02How it recruits
The Karnataka Public Service Commission, formed in 1951, recruits for the Karnataka Administrative Service (KAS) and other Group A, B and C posts under the state government through its Combined Competitive Examination held in Prelims, Mains and Interview stages. It also runs separate direct-recruitment exams for Assistant Engineer, Assistant Professor and other departmental posts on requisition. KPSC is headquartered at Udyog Souda in Bengaluru.
KPSC recruits mainly through a written competitive examination, or a written examination followed by an interview. Posts recorded here are commonly classified as Group A/B/C.
