02How it recruits
The Maharashtra Public Service Commission is the constitutional body under Article 315 responsible for recruiting candidates for Group A, B and C posts of the Government of Maharashtra. Its flagship Rajyaseva (State Services) Examination fills Deputy Collector, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Tahsildar and similar posts through Prelims, Mains and Interview, and it separately conducts departmental exams for engineers, medical officers, tax assistants, accountants and clerical posts. MPSC is headquartered at CBD Belapur, Navi Mumbai.
MPSC recruits mainly through a written competitive examination, or a written examination followed by an interview. Posts recorded here are commonly classified as Group A/B/C.
