02How it recruits
In plain words
The Railway Protection Force (RPF), a security force under the Ministry of Railways, is responsible for protecting railway passengers, passenger areas and railway property across Indian Railways, and includes the paramilitary Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF) reserve. RPF/RPSF conducts its own periodic direct recruitment for Constable and Sub-Inspector posts, notified and administered via its official portal rpf.indianrailways.gov.in with a Computer-Based Test followed by physical efficiency and measurement tests. This is separate from RRB/RRC, the civilian railway recruitment boards already listed elsewhere in this directory.
RPF/RPSF recruits mainly through a written competitive examination. Posts recorded here are commonly classified as Group C.
Entry qualifications recorded: 12th pass
