02How it recruits

The Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB), Tamil Nadu is the nodal agency appointed by the Government of Tamil Nadu both to conduct the Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TNTET) and to directly recruit Graduate and Post-Graduate Assistant teachers and other education-department posts against TNTET-qualified candidates. It is therefore both the eligibility-test conductor and a direct recruiting body.

TNTET recruits mainly through a written competitive examination. Posts recorded here are commonly classified as Group B/C.
